For years, I dedicated my life to helping others as a nurse and Nurse Executive. Then everything changed.
After medically retiring from the State of California, my income dropped to a fraction of what I had earned before. Bills piled up. Our mortgage was falling behind. My husband and I were constantly stressed about money, and I felt the weight of trying to hold everything together.
At the same time, I was navigating health challenges, caring for our ranch and animals, and trying to figure out how to create stability without sacrificing what little energy I had left.
Everyone kept telling me the same thing:
“Just go live.”
“Post more.”
“Be everywhere.”
But I knew I needed something different.
